NanoSight Pro는 나노입자추적분석(NTA) 기술을 이용하여 용액내의 10nm ~ 1000nm의 나노 입자를 특성화한다. 레이저와 비디오 카메라가 내장되어 있어 레이저가 현탁액 내의 입자를 조사하고 생성된 산란광을 카메라가 시각적으로 획득한다. 이를 통해 입자의 크기 뿐만 아니라 계수도 가능하여 농도 정보 제공이 가능하다. 빛 산란과 형광 감지를 결합하여 라벨이 붙은 입자를 효과적으로 측정할 수 있는 새로운 형광 모드도 제공한다. 본 제품은 다분산 시스템에 적합한 고분해능의 장비로서 형광 분석 모드 및 다양한 옵션을 통해 약물전달 시스템 개발, 바이러스 백신 연구, 나노 독성학 및 단백질 응집 연구부터 일반 무기물까지 다양한 분야에 적용이 가능하다. 최근에는 특히 Drug delivery 연구 시, 본 제품을 통해 특정 Cell에서 추출한 Exosome이나 Microvesicle의 크기 및 농도를 확인하여 특정 질병의 원인 규명과 치료제를 개발에 이용하고 있다
